Phytoncides are BVOC’s (biogenic volatile organic compounds) and are currently the subject of intense Phyto-Medicine research by many institutes including the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  They are the focus of very active and ongoing early-phase medical research into oncology and chemoprevention.

Phytoncides are not yet an approved cancer cure, but research has shown compelling chemopreventative and antiproliferative results in laboratory models and early human trials.
