Large Cypress Bowl with Tribal Design

This large 11.5 X 5.5" Bowl has a shape reminiscent of a Zulu food bowl or container. It is hand turned from wet Cypress Wood and then hand painted in a Tribal design in India Ink.  This bowl was fully turned from wet wood, which warps as it dries creating wonderfully organic shapes which I believe simply add to the interest and unique qualities of the piece. This is created from wood rescued in the Pacific Northwest.

My TRIBAL SERIES represents a synergistic blend of my African Tribal sensibilities with the dramatic tribal designs of the North West and South West Peoples.
