Lidded Birch Vessel with Cherry Finial

The bowl and fitted lid are hand turned from Birch wood with a dramatic added Cherry finial. This Lidded Vessel was created from wet Birch wood rescued in the PNW. 

The cherry finial was a find from my garden.

This bowl is 6 " across and x 4.5" high, 8"with the finial.

In spite of the extravagant finial, this is a functional "box" and could be used for the storage of jewelry or other precious items.
