Birch Bowl with Verdigris Finish and red interior

Ancient Vessel #2 is a bowl handturned from wet Birch wood rescued in the PNW.  The piece has a simple tribal vessel shape and has been  given a bronze verdigris finish and a contrasting red liquid acrylic ink interior making the bowl into a functional art piece.  This bowl is 7x5" in size.

My "Ancient Vessels" series is a nod to famous veteran woodturner Richard Raffin.  Simple vessels gain a new identity with the addition of metallic patina on the outside and warm and vibrant color on the interior.
