Hand turned Birch Bowl with "Bubbles" design

This bowl has been hand turned from wet Birch Wood and then painted in my "Bubbles Series" design in Archival India Ink. Wet birch wood warps as it dries creating wonderfully organic shapes which simply add to the interest and unique qualities of the piece. This one-of-a-kind, hand-turned vessel, has been created from wood rescued in the Pacific Northwest. This bowl is 7" wide and 2.5" deep.
For me, the "BUBBLES" design goes back to my theory that HOPE FLOATS and represents hope, joy and the PLEASURE of the tingle of bubbles on your tongue!
